The unusual front has a continuous strip of LED lights and a trapezoidal, large air intake with integrated design elements. In addition, Kona uses the “Parametric Pixel Design” elements from the sub-brand Ioniq on. The dynamic design is accentuated by distinctively shaped wheelhouse liners that incorporate the headlamps and taillights.

Two-part light also at the rear: The rear light is integrated into the wheel arch panel together with a continuous strip of lights.
At the rear, the Kona picks up on the front design with the two-part lights. Here, too, the Korean has a continuous strip of light.
New Hyundai Kona has grown a bit
In terms of dimensions, the new Kona has increased somewhat in terms of length SUV grown by about 150 millimeters to 4.35 meters, the 60 millimeters longer wheelbase (now 2.66 meters) should benefit the occupants. In width it has SUV gained another 25 millimeters, now measures almost 1.83 meters.
The interior is much more spacious (update!)
The interior of the new Kona is now more spacious. Thanks to the wheelbase, which has been increased by 60 millimeters, passengers benefit from 77 millimeters more legroom, and shoulder and head height have also increased.
With the rear seat folded down, the luggage compartment can hold up to 723 liters according to the SAE standard. The official VDA information on boot volume is not yet known, but it can be assumed that the cargo volume of the Kona will increase slightly. For comparison: Its predecessor swallows up to 1156 litres.

More space and an airy feeling of space in the interior, the dashboard with the large displays is somewhat reminiscent of the Ioniq 5.
Striking: The gear lever has been moved from the center console behind the steering wheel, and ambient lighting should increase comfort and the driving experience.
Infotainment update via over-the-air update
The maintenance and updating of the infotainment should be easier thanks to over-the-air updates – so no workshop appointments have to be made. In addition, there are a number of new functions, including an individual adjustment of the electric tailgate. Meaning: Customers can set the opening speed and height of the infotainment screen.
New comfort and safety features for Kona
There are also some new assistance systems to increase driving comfort and safety. These include: Autonomous Emergency Brake Assist, Active Lane and Blind Spot Assist, Departure Warning, Intelligent Traffic Sign Recognition, Attention Alert and a navigation-based cruise control.
More power and range are envisaged

Similar to the performance, the price should also increase somewhat. For comparison: the Kona with combustion engine and 48-volt technology currently costs from 20,750 euros, the hybrid costs at least 28,000 euros. And if you are interested in the electric Kona, you have to put on the table from 36,400 euros.
