What is an avatar picture?
An avatar is usually a profile picturethe people in social networks, blogs, internet forums use, etc. At avatar image usually represents the user. When, for example, you post, discuss or blog, there is often a corresponding picture of the person in question next to the post.
In some (popular) social networks, the use of a real photo has been established. However, this is not the norm everywhere. People are usually free to choose which one graphic production they present themselves online. It can also be abstract symbols, drawings or artistic portraits.
Design creator avatars to download or create

Create “abstract avatars”
Three-dimensional representation of letters or initials is available from Slavo Glinsky. The creative designed the 3D objects in Cinema 4D and then rendered them on a transparent background. Avatars can be created and configured using an online editor.
The profile pictures can also be generated via the address bar in a resolution of up to 512 x 512 px. Default is 64 x 64px.
Developers are often faced with the task of having to work with placeholders for user images. This open source React library starts right there. Avatars can be created that consist entirely of letters, patterns, lines and symbols.
Instructions are available on GitHub. The project is also under an MIT license, which also allows commercial use subject to the appropriate license and naming information.
»Open Peeps« illustration collection
With Open Peep’s illustration collection, hand-drawn illustrations of people can be made using the modular principle. The results can e.g. also used as avatars. In addition to the black and white illustrations, there are now also colored illustrations that can be combined with each other. Elements such as mouth and nose protection masks and faces of nurses and doctors are also new.

Notionist Avatar library
The Notionists avatar library is also hand drawn. Eyebrows, eyes, noses, beards, lips, hair and body shapes can be combined into individual avatar images. Version 2 is already being planned and should feature more gestures, clothes and accessories.
The library is under a CC0 license. Therefore, the graphic can be used privately and commercially without attribution.
Avatarz 3D library
From ThreeDee comes an extensive collection of 3D avatars. Ten pre-rendered PNG files are available for free download. The graphics give a taste of the entire library, with over 8,000 different combinations possible.
Illustrator Iryna Korshak created a “free”. Its 59 inclusive avatars are intended as symbols of diversity in the world and should be used in products, projects and the like.

Nickvector presents a “free pack” that contains various avatars for download. The 28 different characters can be edited with Figma and Illustrator. According to Dribbble, the assets are free to use in both personal and commercial projects.
The avatar generator Big Heads can be used to create characters for apps, games and the like. Hair, skin color, eyes, mouth, etc. can be exchanged individually in the extensive editor. Almost 20 controls are available to combine. One of the new features is the feature of placing a face mask over the cute characters. A click on the random button also leads to results worth seeing.

Hand drawn black and white avatars
This illustration pack contains hand drawn style avatars. The eight images are each in PNG and SVG format and are free for commercial and non-commercial use.
The avatar images are designed by Limitless Designs. The Gumroad Creators Profile has additional downloadable avatars.
User avatar icon set
These cute avatar icons can be used as avatars or personas in community-driven projects or, for example, in comment sections on the website. The SVG files can be edited and customized according to your own ideas. The set offers 50 avatar images in “Solid”, “Outlined” and “Flat” styles.
