The brand strategy is well thought out – the design is independent and differentiating. And yet: The result will not work on the market. For example, because the focus of the brand design has been shifted from positioning. Or because the company lacks the skills to anchor the purpose permanently and inspiringly in design and communication, even after implementation. Or because the customers’ interests are not sufficiently taken into account in positioning and design. Brand gaps occur when brand strategy and brand design are not effectively linked.
