Who is the world’s most expensive soccer player? That’s right, Neymar Jr. The 29-year-old joined Paris Saint-Germain from FC Barcelona for $222 million. He already put part of his new salary into the purchase of a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT.
A whopping 189.69 ETH (at the time over 570,000 US dollars) put the dribbling talent on the table for Ape #5269. But that’s not all, at the end of January there should be another: Ape #6633 came into Neymar’s possession for 159.99 ETH (about 374,000 US dollars) and became his contemporary Twitter profile picture “I am a monkey!”. However, Neymar is not the only one creating a digital identity with NFTs.
World stars such as Paris Hilton, Justin Bieber and Mike Tyson are also there. You can find out which celebrities are involved in the crypto space along with Neymar Jr. in the following slideshow.

Manuel Neuer
While it’s unclear if the National Guard himself keeps crypto, at least he seems to believe in the technology. Last August, he invested in blockchain startup VoteBase, which wants to develop a DLT-based app for elections. There is also the Bayern player with his highlights as NFT on Sorare.
Katy Perry
The pop singer has previously chatted crypto with Warren Buffet, painted her nails with the Bitcoin logo and most recently released her own NFT ‘Roar’ collection.
Justin Bieber
“inBetweeners” is the name of the NFT collection Biebers and features a collection of colorful illustrated bears. The design is reminiscent of traditional role models such as BAYC or CryptoPunks. A total of 10,777 unique bearish NFTs were sold. The singer uses one of them as his Instagram profile picture. In addition, the pop singer had his first metaverse experience in 2021 when he gave a virtual concert there.
Naomi Osaka
The Wimbledon winner has an eye for crypto projects. She has yet to invest in currency, but her own NFT collection has already been auctioned off. She donated the proceeds to a good cause.
Mike Tyson
“All in on Solana,” read the former professional boxer’s Twitter post in January. By his own admission, he has been involved in cryptocurrencies and NFTs for a long time. He is also convinced of the DREAM token, which can only be traded during the stock exchange’s opening hours for the benefit of mental health.
Emily Ratajkowski
The model auctioned off a self-made NFT for about $175,000. The special thing about this is that the NFT shows her in front of a picture of herself. The original picture of her was once sold without her consent. She acquired it and made it clear with the sale of the new NFT: I decide on my pictures.
Paris Hilton
The “world’s first” influencer is a big Bitcoin and NFT fan. Her personal NFT collection currently consists of 141 digital individual pieces. In her blog “I’m Excited About NFTs -You Sholud Be Too”, the hotel heiress writes that she is “overwhelmed” by the tokens’ potential. She sees it as an opportunity to democratize art, revolutionize fashion and be in touch with her fans around the world. As an “early adopter”, she already formed her first NFT collection in 2020. She raised $1.1 million with her latest Iconic Crypto Queen NFT from April 2021.
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis
The Hollywood couple have shot an animated series with Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin. However, the individual episodes of “Stoner Cats” can only be viewed by those who unlock them for tokens. A complete success in the US, because everyone who buys a Stoner Cats NFT then gets access to an exclusive club.
