For the power supply alone, Germany has a dense network of almost 2 million kilometers of high, medium and low voltage power lines. With the ambitious goals of switching to renewable energy, this network will continue to grow over the next few years. In addition, there are telecommunications lines, which are also continuously being expanded, not least because of the planned conversion to fiber optic lines. From large infrastructure projects to private house construction – the necessary cabling is an elementary part of any construction project.

A large part of this extensive network consists of underground cables that do not have a negative impact on the landscape. With innovative cable protection pipe systems, Ostendorf Kunststoffe creates the basis for safe, reliable and fast installation. Once buried, faulty cables can in many cases be replaced or additional cables pulled in without extensive excavation again.

Ostendorf Kunststoffe offers cable protection conduit systems for a wide range of applications. With the KG2000 e-line cable protection pipe system made of polypropylene (PP-MD), Ostendorf Kunststoffe focuses on safety and flexibility when laying high and extra high voltage cables up to 525 kV underground. Available in three ring stiffness classes (SN 4, SN 10 and SN 16), the tubes, which are flame red on the outside and white on the inside, can also be configured individually. Coloring, signature and connection can be designed according to customer requirements. The cable protection pipe system convinces above all with the new, innovative connection system KG2000 e-line protect from Ostendorf Kunststoffe. The molded part connects two cable protection tubes, whereby an integrated stud bridge accommodates the two stud ends that meet, thus ensuring a completely smooth transition. This ensures that the cable is pulled in securely. The patent-pending system also impresses with its high degree of flexibility and can also be placed in curves with small radii.

The cable protection pipe system PP SN 4 with cast sleeve from Ostendorf Kunststoffe is a high-quality and affordable alternative, for example, to PVC cable protection pipes. It is characterized by excellent technical properties, while at the same time having a low wall thickness and therefore less use of raw materials. The black solid wall pipe is also equipped with a patented triple seal as standard and is available from stock in various dimensions (DN/OD 50-200). In addition, the system offers a versatile selection of molded parts and curved pipes. Like the KG2000 e-line cable protection pipe system, the cable protection pipe system PP SN 4 also complies with DIN 16878 for underground pipes and fittings made of polypropylene that serve as cable protection pipes.

With the PE-HD cable protection pipe system according to DIN 16876, Ostendorf Kunststoffe offers another reliable cable protection pipe system for the underground laying of telecommunications and power cables in the low and medium voltage range, which, thanks to plastic recycling, also meets individual sustainability requirements. The high-density polyethylene (PE-HD) cable protection pipe system is also available in a wide range of nominal widths (DN/OD 75-160) and wall thicknesses and is equipped with push-fit sleeves.
