FARMINGTON HILLS, Michigan, 25 October 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Drive System Design (DSD), a company specializing in the rapid design and development of electrified drive systems, and Alvier Mechatronik, an engineering services company with particular expertise in advanced materials and production methods for sustainable high-volume applications, join forces to provide the mobility industry with engineering services that support sustainable electrified powertrain solutions in automotive, commercial vehicle, off-highway vehicle, marine and aerospace applications.

The two companies signed a joint operating agreement to combine DSD’s expertise in fully electrified powertrain design, including simulation, prototyping and validation, with Alvier Mechatronics’ industry-leading powder metallurgy and electromagnetic design capabilities. This collaboration will enable significant improvements in the development of electrified systems and provide the industry with innovative turnkey solutions, including:

  • acceleration to market through the combination of metallurgical and electromagnetic development phases and reduced prototype lead time.
  • More sustainability in the use of CO2, resulting in an overall reduction during the development process to complement the ability of both companies to reduce CO2 emissions during the operation of the system.
