UX Designer (f/m/d) – Design Diary

UX Designer (f/m/d)

The position is filled as part of a parental leave replacement with immediate effect for 2 years full time.
In this position, you will work with the following topics:

UX / UI DESIGN

  • Develop and validate prototypes (wireframing, click puppets, mock-ups, user testing, etc.).
  • Develop infographic graphics and screen design (for web and app).
  • Design templates and tech. Create design templates (eg PDF, CSS).
  • Create content for websites and integrate them into CMS systems (eg WordPress).
  • Create and adapt documentation.
  • represent the interface to the programming and IT team (web & app development).
  • support with customization and rollout of new applications regarding user experience

DESIGN THINKING & SERVICE DESIGN

  • Design, prepare and lead design workshops (including finding and creating agenda & appropriate templates/canvas).
  • collect user requirements in workshops and interviews, generate ideas and translate them into solution approaches.
  • Derive and specify functional requirements based on user needs.
  • design products and services in collaboration with project managers and users (e.g. via personas, user stories, roadmaps, etc.)
  • take over planning, coordination and documentation of meetings & workshops and prepare the content from a technical/IT point of view.
  • Accompany projects and ensure user-centredness in all phases.
  • Development of digital products & services from idea development and piloting to market maturity, also with the involvement of external consultants

USER RESEARCH AND UX TESTING

  • Conception, implementation or support as well as evaluation of user interviews and feedback rounds (also as user journeys)
  • Create specific functional requirements lists for research and evaluation of software/tools
  • Research, test and compare suitable tools/applications
  • UX project support and quality assurance in app/application development
  • Implementation of pilots and their evaluation
  • Designing studies and evaluation
  • Sparring partner in the project team to validate approaches and plan how to move forward

You have the following qualifications:

  • a degree in communication or graphic design, marketing, economics or an equivalent degree.
  • Specializations in handling UI/UX design tools (eg Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Framer X, UX Pin, InVision, Balsamiq).
  • Very good user knowledge of usability and analysis tools (e.g. Hotjar, Google Analytics, UserZoom)
    Professional experience in the areas of interaction design, product management, business development and marketing is desirable.
  • a quick familiarity with new software/tools
  • Strong communication skills, customer orientation/contact skills and an independent way of working.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
