The DeMa network is dedicated to this very problem.

“The network uses NFT-based blockchain technology to exchange production data between suppliers and OEMs securely and with an integrated payment system,” DeMa’s website explains. This enables decentralized parts production directly at the point of use in exactly the required quantity. To ensure this, DeMa first tokenizes the production data and then creates a unique digital twin of the component. This digital twin can then be sold and traded in the form of an NFT. The original equipment manufacturers, in turn, purchase the NFTs in a virtual warehouse. Redeemed at the point of use, you receive the encrypted production data for one-time use. Once the manufacture of the part is complete, the NFT becomes invalid, i.e. burned and a payment based on a DeMa native cryptocurrency is automatically issued.
