Celsius explodes and Buterin intertwines comments

The weekend is just around the corner and today we would like to present the latest news from the crypto sector in our crypto newsletter. It is about the price explosion of Celsius, new comments from the Ethereum founder about the merger and a new wallet from the company LG.

Crypto Newsletter #1: Rate Explosion at Celsius

The cryptocurrency Celsius has risen sharply in price in the past few hours. The rest of the market tends to move sideways. The reason for the massive profit is a positive development in the ongoing legal proceedings surrounding the well-known crypto lender’s insolvency proceedings. In June, crypto lending platform Celsius filed for bankruptcy.

From a hearing, it has now become known that frozen customer funds from the Celsius network may soon be paid out. This was received extremely positively by investors in the cryptocurrency. The company had previously frozen millions of dollars from customers in escrow accounts after it ran into financial difficulties following massive losses late last year and then had to file for bankruptcy in New York state.

Crypto Newsletter #2: Ethereum founders talk about the upcoming merger

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has commented on the upcoming Ethereum merger. In an interview with blogger Noah Smith, Buterin says he wants Ethereum to change significantly. According to him, it is a good development that his influence on the network must be greatly reduced.

Ethereum

With the Ethereum merger, its influence on the network should continue to decrease. His confidence in the future of the network is great enough that he leaves many processes to other people. He used to do most of the coding. Meanwhile his work is almost entirely confined to conception. But this influence should also decrease in the future with the development of blockchain.

Crypto Newsletter #3: LG wants to release its own wallet before the end of the year

LG is a technology giant from South Korea. The global company has also been interested in crypto technology for some time and now wants to launch a crypto wallet in 2022. The wallet is currently in the testing phase and is expected to be launched later this year. The wallet should be able to connect to certain LG services, and this should make payments for LG products possible.

More and more traditional tech companies have discovered their interest in technical solutions for blockchain and cryptocurrencies in recent months and years. Last year, LG abandoned its mobile hardware division and is now trying to diversify its products more.

What can we take away from today?

Celsius, a cryptocurrency that was hit hard by the crash at the end of last year, could make a comeback. Vitalik Buterin’s words allow Ethereum to look positively into the future. Furthermore, the upcoming wallet from LG shows that more and more classic companies are interested in blockchain technology.
