Emmerich: In the holiday program, children can fly gliders

The youth café at Brink has a sumptuous holiday program on its feet. The children can look forward to these exciting excursions and special workshops.

The municipal youth café at Brink (Juca) in Emmerich has once again come up with a varied program for the holiday with exciting excursions as well as play, socializing and creativity in Emmerich. Registrations for the dates from July 4th to August 5th are accepted with immediate effect.

The Juca starts on Monday 4 July with a shopping trip to the Westfield Mall in Oberhausen (formerly Centro). The meeting place is Emmerich train station at 9.45. The prerequisite for participation is either possession of a chocolate ticket or a deposit of five euros. “In any case, those involved should have fun shopping,” writes Juca manager Susanna Cavara.

Chaos games entice on July 5th

It remains local on Tuesday, July 5th. The team meets with the children in the Emmerich Rheinpark from 12.00 to 17.00 for the well-known chaos game. The price is one euro.




It will also be exciting on Wednesday 6 July, when children and young people get the opportunity to experience the Apenheul abezoo in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, for a total of 20 euros. The special thing about this zoo is that the monkeys sometimes roam free. The bus tour starts from the youth café, where the registered meetings at 9 am. Children under the age of ten can only attend accompanied by an adult.


Excursion to the amusement park Walibi

It continues on Thursday 7 July from 11 am to 5 pm with the Juca dinner, where, as in the youth café’s previous holiday programs, a beautiful three-course menu is conjured up. This item on the program is already fully booked.

The first week ends on Friday 8 July with a trip to the Dutch amusement park Walibi. It starts at 8.30 on Juca. The cost is 30 euros. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

The following week, sporty starts with a walk in the boulder hall in Kleve. For 14 euros, the kids can start with the Juca team on Monday, July 11 at 11.45am and show off their climbing skills. Departure at Juca.

Departure to Toverland on 13 July

Tuesday, July 12, it gets wet because Embricana is being visited. Costs three euros, the meeting place is at. 11 front Embricana.

On Thursday 13 July, a trip to the amusement park Toverland in the Netherlands starts. At 8.45 the participants meet at the youth café and spend a day between slides and carousels for 25 euros. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

There is also something for the artistic brains this year. For Thursday, July 14, the Juca offers a three-hour creative craft program for one euro. Start is at 14.

The weekend then begins with a relaxed barbecue afternoon on Friday 15 July from 2pm to 7pm. The juca takes two euros for sausages and the like.

Gliding with Emmerich Aero Club

Therefore, the highlight of the summer vacation program continues. For this year, the Jucaen gives young people from the age of 13 the opportunity to participate in gliding for 30 euros through a collaboration with the Emmerich Aero Club. The offer takes place from 18 July to 22 July every day from 10:00 to 18:00. Meals are provided.

A free hip-hop workshop, organized by Kultur Rucksack NRW for children and young people aged ten to 14, is also one of this year’s program items. This takes a period of three days. Wednesday and Thursday the 3rd and 4th of August the dance starts at 15.30. Friday the 5th of August already at The choreography can then be presented for the Back2School party, which serves as the end of the holiday program from 5pm to 9pm. Admission costs in euros.
