One person is in the spotlight this weekend: Queen Elizabeth celebrates her platinum anniversary on the throne. But there are two other women who are catching the attention of the public these days.

It is the first time in about two years that Duchess Catherine, 40, and Duchess Meghan, 40, have made a joint public appearance again. A lot has happened in the meantime and the reunion of the two women is being watched with eagle eyes.

Queen Elizabeth had to cancel the service at short notice in her honor for health reasons.

The relationship still seems broken

Ordinary pictures of the former “Fab Four”? none. The relationship between the two brothers and their wives still appears to have been shattered a year after Sussexes’ infamous Oprah interview. At the time, Meghan accused her sister-in-law of making her cry while trying on a bridesmaid dress ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry. There had been reports in the past that it was the other way around.

“It’s been a really tough week during the wedding, and she [Catherine] was sorry about something, “Meghan told Oprah Winfrey, 68, at the time,” but she admitted it and apologized, and she brought me flowers and a note in which she apologized. And she did what I would do if I knew I had hurt someone. She just took responsibility for it. “

No private meeting between Sussexes and Cambridges

Sussexes and Cambridges may meet for the first time on Thursday, June 1 during the Trooping the Color parade. But as the Queen had previously decided to perform only on the balcony of Buckingham Palace with working members of the royal family, fans and spectators could only catch a glimpse of Duchess Meghan from one of the windows.

The fact that the majority of the British people are still benevolent towards the Sussex, even after traveling as high-ranking royals and the accompanying emigration to the United States, was hard to ignore on Friday morning. When they arrived at the western entrance to the church, the crowd began to cheer.

However, a common picture of them and the Cambridges is not to be expected. And as one insider reported to “Mirror”, there will probably be no more private meetings between the couples. “At the moment, it does not look like Harry and Meghan and William and Kate will meet separately during the anniversary celebration,” the source said. “There is certainly nothing on the agenda at the moment.” William and Catherine will also miss Harry and Meghan’s daughter Lilibet’s first birthday on Saturday. They are in a hurry for appointments in Wales.
