Johanniter Regionalverband Südbrandenburg announced:

On May 20, the trio around the Berlin double bassist Jaspar Libuda will give a benefit concert in the Evangelische Kirche Burg in favor of the Johanniter orphanage “Pusteblume”. For the free stay of parents and siblings of sick children, the house is permanently dependent on donations, as these expenses are not covered by the cost bearers.
When a child becomes seriously ill, it is not only their lives that change fundamentally. The whole family world is thrown off the hinges: What’s next? How long will our child, our sister, our grandson be with us?
There are also financial concerns: one parent often quits his job and devotes himself mainly to caring for the sick child, and one has to fight with the payers for approval of assistive devices or special forms of therapy. The family construction, which is already fragile in such a situation, is also put to the test.
Since May 2020, seriously ill children and their families have found support and relief in the Johanniter orphanage “Pusteblume” in Burg (Spreewald). The Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e. V. operated facility in Spreewald offers space for up to 12 patients at the child and adolescent hospice and an additional eight places in the outpatient housing group. In both areas, there is a focus on holistic work in the family system.

“Come on, recharge your batteries and let go – that’s what we’re here for,” explains Daniela Konzack, head of the only one so far.
stationary plant of this type in the Land of Brandenburg. “We want to give the whole family new energy for their everyday lives and therefore focus our work on both patients, parents and siblings.” This work is only possible with the support of donations. “Unfortunately, not all expenses are covered by the payers.
The free stay of parents and siblings in our house is financed exclusively by donations, so that the families in this difficult situation do not have to be financially burdened. ”

Berlin double bassist Jaspar Libuda’s compositions are classical soundscapes, musical stories without words, a declaration of love for the melody and the deep emotions it is able to evoke. Using a custom-built five-string double bass with a high C-string, Jaspar Libuda creates tones reminiscent of cello, percussion, guitar and oud. Together with guitarist Florian Segelke and drummer Sven Tappert, he lays pads and rhythms on top of each other. Braids melodies and silence into a dense world of sound. At the same time melancholy and full of zest for life. A state of limbo between styles and genres. Crosses the line between classical, minimal music, jazz, pop and soundscapes. A combination of virtuoso instrumental art and electroacoustic music. The soundtrack to an imaginary
