Is it fate whose sparks spark on a first date? A sign from heaven that both like the same reading? Read what the Germans think about spirituality in love.

What is the fate of relationships? Does spirituality play a role in love for most people? Which poll found.

Do you believe in destiny, soulmates and destiny when it comes to relationships? Do you trust what your horoscope says about love? Do you want to go on a date on a day like tomorrow, which is Friday the 13th? A study has now determined how important spirituality in love is for singles and couples.

Spirituality and Love Measurement: Dates Friday the 13th?

To put oneself in the hands of an inexplicably higher power or rather not trust in the so-called fate: How do the Germans view it? The online dating agency Elitepartner would like to know more about this and has 6,107 adults – no members! – asked about it.

These are the main results:

  • “I believe that there are people who are created for each other” – more than half of the women agreed with this statement, namely 51.1 percent. Men were significantly fewer: Only 36 percent are of this opinion.
  • Constellations and astrology as a topic when dating and getting to know each other? About a third of respondents do not think much of it – 34.3 percent think it is stupid.
  • Soul lovers in love: they exist! 38.5 percent of women, but only 24.5 percent of men are convinced of this.
  • Finding the right partner is fate? Yes, say 29.8 percent of women – and at least 23.9 percent of men.
  • Oh yes, the famous love at first sight. Many dream of her. But do you believe in it? This was done by a good quarter of the respondents, namely 26.6 per cent.

Speaking of which, read how most relationships begin with love at first sight …

What about Friday the 13th?

Aquarius meets the lioness: 14 percent of respondents are convinced that certain constellations fit together better than others. Just as many believe that neurobiological processes are essential for attraction between two people. Rational or inexplicable, science or astrology – here’s balance.

A clear rejection of superstition is given when it comes to the supposedly unfortunate Friday the 13th: Not planning anything important on this date, such as a date, engagement or wedding, only 6.7 percent of men come up with this idea and interestingly, even fewer women, namely just 5.4 per cent.

Expert: We want to understand love – but not take the magic away

“Belief in something that can not be fully analyzed scientifically and therefore is beyond our control, accounts for a large part of the fascination and explains why many long for purpose and love at first sight” – this is Lisa Fischbach, psychologist at Elitepartner , sure. “When it comes to the phenomenon of love, people often unite two – at first glance conflicting – tendencies,” she continues.

“On the one hand we want to understand love, decode it, make it computable, on the other hand we do not want to remove its magic.” But everyone has developed their own explanation of love with different proportions of rationality and mystery – therefore Lisa Fischbach advises against coming up with theories about which constellations can go together when they date.

They may not necessarily be our destiny, but they can certainly be our downfall and endanger a relationship: have you also fallen for a kryptonite person?

Speaking of surveys: Do you know how well rituals are received by couples – and especially which ones?

And we will also explain it to you: Friday the 13th – a real day of misfortune or is it all just superstition?
