iF DESIGN AWARD 2022 for White Tulip, D-Neo with fittings and Duravit Magazine

Well-known design award for the two complete bathroom series White Tulip and D-Neo, the fixtures from the bathroom series D-Neo and News Magazine # 13 from Duravit

  • High design quality convinces the jury
  • Bathroom series, fixtures and magazine awarded

The two complete bathroom series White Tulip and D-Neo, the fixtures from the bathroom series D-Neo and News Magazine # 13 from Duravit have received the iF DESIGN AWARD 2022 from the internationally recognized design brand. iF DESIGN AWARD is awarded once a year by the world’s oldest independent institution for form and design, iF International Forum Design GmbH.

White Tulip and D-Neo complete bathroom series received awards in the “Bathroom” category, as did the fixtures from the D-Neo bathroom series. In the “Publications” category, number 13 of Duravit’s News Magazine was able to convince the 132-man, independent, international panel of experts. The number of applicants was large: the jury members had to award the coveted quality stamp from almost 11,000 entries from 57 countries.

Organic design

With White Tulip, French designer Philippe Starck has created a holistic bathroom collection that has already received the Red Dot Award and the German Design Award. From bathtubs, sinks and furniture, to toilets and bidets, to matching mirrors and a complete range of fixtures – the unusual design of all components in the series follows the organic silhouette of a flowering tulip. A special eye-catcher is the free-standing ceramic washbasin designed as a monolith.

Geometric shapes

In March 2021, Duravit presented for the first time the now award-winning D-Neo series designed by Belgian designer Bertrand Lejoly. The complete bathroom series impresses with its linear, geometric shapes and, with its attractive price-value ratio, opens access to Duravit for new target groups. The design series as a whole and the luminaires in particular have already received the German Design Award and the Red Dot Award.

Linear brackets with an extra function

In line with the D-Neo design, the D-Neo fittings also have a linear, geometric design. The characteristic narrow, vertically placed handle runs through the entire line. Sustainability is the order of the day here: With the washbasin mixers with the FreshStart function, only cold water initially runs in the middle position. Hot water is only added when you deliberately move the handle to the left. The energy-intensive preparation of hot water is therefore only limited to situations where it is actually needed.

News Magazine # 13

The award-winning complete bathroom series by Philippe Starck and Bertrand Lejoly fill much of Duravit’s sophisticated and aesthetically designed News Magazine # 13, which has also already won the German design award. In addition to the bathroom series, innovations such as the patented HygieneFlush toilet flush technology from Duravit are presented in a total of 116 pages. About 100,000 copies are printed and completed in Germany each year. The editorial content is brought to life with a high quality feel. The news magazine gives retailers and end customers in over 40 countries the opportunity to immerse themselves in Duravit’s latest bathroom worlds.
